Our research interests are the Theory of computation and its applications. We aim to solve the problems in real-world applications such as security of industrial control systems and efficiency of wireless networks by designing efficient algorithms based on computational theory(graph theory, computational geometry, etc.).

Theory of Computation

The study of computational theories, such as computational geometry and graph theory, provides a broad foundation in the field of Computer Science. Many real-life problems can be modeled as problems in computational theory, and efficient solutions with guaranteed performance can be provided by utilizing the research results of computational theory.

Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) emerge as an active research area in recent years. WSNs are regarded as promising solutions for Smart connected systems such as Smart City, Smart Factory, Smart Home, Smart Car, etc. We aim to solve the practical problems in WSNs to improve the performance based on the computational theory.

Security for ICS

Industrial control systems(ICSs) are the primary systems used, especially in infrastructure. The research on the security of ICSs is distinguished from conventional security research because of several characteristics of ICSs. To secure ICSs we provide the intellectual approaches for detecting abnormal behaviors of factors in ICSs.

Critical Infrastructure Protection

Critical infrastructure protection (CIP) is one of the security areas related to the critical infrastructure of a region or nation such as Dams, Power plants, Nuclear facilities, and so on. For the robust protection for CI, we aim to develop the security policies and standards for CIP. It also includes lifecycle protection models and risk assessment/management models.
